7 DAYS UNTIL YOUR FAMILY PHOTOSHOOT
CHOOSE YOUR OUTFITS
Begin selecting outfits for the family photoshoot. Coordinate colors and styles to ensure a cohesive look, but also let each family member’s personality shine through. Outfits that complement each other and reflect your family’s unique style will make your photos truly memorable. For additional inspiration, check out my blog post “What to Wear for Your Family Photoshoot.” I highly recommend reaching out to me with your outfit choices, so I can offer personalized advice and help you refine your selections. If you’re struggling to find the perfect outfits, consider upgrading to the Whole Story package, which includes access to a client closet.
3 DAYS UNTIL YOUR PHOTOSHOOT
FINALIZE OUTFITS
Make sure all chosen outfits are clean, pressed, and ready for the day. Have each family member try on their clothes to confirm a comfortable fit. Don’t forget to consider accessories, such as hats, scarves, or jewelry, which can add a nice touch to your photos.

DAY OF YOUR SHOOT
WEATHER CONSIDERATIONS
If you're having an outdoor photoshoot, keep an eye on the weather forecast. If the weather looks unpredictable, we can discuss potential backup plans or rescheduling options. Safety is a priority.
ARRIVE 5 MINUTES EARLY
Aim to arrive a bit ahead of your scheduled time. This extra time allows everyone to settle in and ensures we start the session smoothly and stress-free.
EMPTY YOUR POCKETS
Leave everything in your car that you don't need. Keys or phones, please ask me to put them in my bag. This will ensure we don't have visible phones etc. in pockets on the images. Those little details make a lot of difference to your images!
COMFORTABLE SHOES
If you’re wearing shoes that are tricky to walk in, bring a more comfortable pair for moving between locations. This will help keep everyone at ease during the shoot.
RELAX AND ENJOY!
Most importantly, relax and enjoy the experience. Family photoshoots are about capturing genuine moments, so don’t stress over minor details. If you need a break or want to adjust poses, that’s perfectly fine. Your comfort and happiness are the top priorities. Have a wonderful time creating lasting memories with your family!
